TT100 Digital Ultrasonic Thickness Gauge
The TT100 is the most popular ultrasonic thickness gauge sold in Australia. It is a low cost, hand-held microprocessor controlled thickness gauge specifically designed for measuring the thickness of metallic and non-metallic materials e.g. aluminium, titanium, plastic, plastics, ceramics, glass and any other good ultrasonic wave-conductor as long as it has parallel top and bottom surfaces.
With uses in many areas of industry, the TT100 can perform precise measurements on various types of raw materials, component parts and assembled machinery. It can also be used to monitor all types of pipes and pressure vessels for loss of thickness due to corrosion or erosion.
The TT100 is extremely easy to use. After a simple calibration to a known thickness or sound velocity, the gauge will give accurate readings in millimetres. Sound velocities for five different materials can be preset and ten thickness readings can be stored in the memory.
The TT100 is supplied complete with 2 x 5 MHz Probes, Gel, Certificate, Instruction Manual and Carrying Case.
Other models are also available.

Coatings up to 6mm thick, whether they are paint, epoxy or bitumen, do not present any problems. Minimal preparation of the surface is required, saving a considerable amount of both time and money. Multiple Echo also automatically verifies each measurement before displaying the reading, which means no erroneous measurements are displayed. This technique is used throughout their range of gauges that have been designed with specific applications in mind.
Other features include no probe zeroing, no re-calibration at switch on and protective membranes fitted to the probe face prevent damage to the probe and keep cost of ownership low.
Only Multiple Echo can give the true substrate thickness and ignore coatings up to 6mm thick. With Multiple Echo, readings are taken by measuring the time delay between three consecutive back-wall echo’s which means that the coating thickness is completely ignored. The times of T2 and T3 are equal to the time that it takes to just travel through the metal. Only by looking at three echoes can the measurements be automatically verified (where T2 = T3).
Multiple echo measurement means:
- Coatings do not have to be removed measures only the metal thickness
- No grinding minimum surface preparation
- Measures on rough, uneven surfaces
- Fast accurate reliable
- No false readings repeatable results
- Easy to use minimum operator training
- Greatly reduces inspection time and cost
- Recommended by Classification Societies when measuring through coatings on ships

The Nova 900 Series represents the latest release and a dramatic advancement in portable ultrasonic thickness gages. A proprietary monolithic integrated circuit chip and a highly advanced microcomputerized design have permitted the achievement of performance levels considered only conceptual, The outgrowth of this technology has been the development of 3 portable models an 2 Benchtop in the Nova 900 Series. These ruggedized, highly stable models have been carefully designed to offer a choice of features to best suit the application level, gaging environment and user preference.
All five models provide the identical base gaging performance, with variations in options and the supporting features. The Nova 910 and 950 incorporate a backlit LCD menu display AND a bright LED numeric display which improves view ability at a distance. The 910 is a basic gage emphasizing operational simplicity for the more straightforward, less demanding applications.
The Nova 950 offer a wide variety of supporting features including 50,000 point Data Logger, User setup parameters can be modified and stored, High/Low alarms, Industry First Scan Bar, Scrolling 'B' Scan and more.

INTRODUCING... The ALL NEW Nova TG200, TG300 & TG400 Ultrasonic Thickness Gages Featuring a 3.9", 240 x 320 QVGA High Speed, High Contrast Sunlight Viewable LCD Display... But that's just where it starts.
Dual Time Base, SplitView, AutoTrack & SplitScan represent another Innovation and another Industry First in Ultrasonic Inspection Productivity.
SplitScan offers the user the ability to view a Dynamic and Expanded or Zoomed view of the main inspection time base (See TG400 image to left). The speed of the presentation is in REAL TIME in both time lines. No Slow & Clunky update like virtually all other hand held ultrasonic thickness gages available today. An Industry First
AutoTrack permits the user to turn on a function where the second time base not only displays a Zoomed or expanded range but, will Automatically Track the echo on which the measurement gate is triggering. Another First
SplitScan is a feature which displays the A-Trace at the same time a B-Scan is being performed thereby providing the user confirmation of echo or couplant integrity. The user can elect to show the A-Trace on the entire viewable screen, show the B-Scan as an entire view or split and size the screen proportionately from 10 - 90%... Yet Another First!!

The NDTS90 CRT Based Flaw Detector was Developed specifically to meet CURRENT customer requirements and requests for a High Speed, CRT based unit. Why CRT?... CRTs are naturally easier on the eye and present the user with a virtually infinite resolution display allowing easier perception of indications along the baseline. Most other digatal units strive to present an infinate number of points within 640 points total across the horizontal baseline... assuming menu space does not occupy any of the horizontal display
In a world gone totally digital, the NDTS-90 provides the best compromise between the digital and analog world by offering a graphic user interface where controls are represented by images of associated controls. Simply touch the control and use the available knob or graphic Scroll Bar for faster operation.
