MAGNETIC PARTICLE INSPECTION/DYE PENETRANT TESTING

Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI testing), sometimes called Mag Particle Testing or Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), is a nondestructive testing process for detecting surface and slightly subsurface discontinuities for ferromagnetic materials. Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), also called Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) or Dye Penetrant Testing (DPI), is a widely applied and low-cost inspection method used to locate surface-breaking defects in all non-porous materials such as metals, plastics or ceramics.
